The following is the description of the request.
With the addition of new floor structure, our client would like to increase the GRFA of the
existing Upper Level of their (2) level condominium. All of the added floor area occurs with-in
the existing footprint of their unit. The added GRFA is equal to 67.4 Sq. Ft.
With the exception of the following changes to widows, there are no changes to the exterior of
the building. As noted on the attached plans, a window will be added to the Southeast corner of
the existing Bedroom on the Upper Level. The In-swing French door with side light on the
south side of the Living Room will be replaced with a full width sliding glass door with fixed
window above. ln addition to the changes listed above, all other existing widows and sliding
glass door will be replaced with new metal clad wood units to match the size of the existing.
The addition of the window in the Upper Level Bedroom will be similar if not exactly like the
windows, which have been added in the same location in several other Antlers units.
All of the new windows and doors will match the color of the windows recently installed as
replacements in other Antlers Units and approved by the Design Review Board Staff.

Fill out the attached check list with the Buildino Permit Apolication.
If yes was answered to any of the guesUons then a 'Public Way" permit is rcquircd. You can pick up an
application at either Community Development located at 75 South Frontage Road or Public Works, located at
1309 Elkhom Drirre.
Notice sign-ofb for utility ompanies. ALL utilities must field veriff (locate) respective utilities prior to signing
applicaUon, Some utility companies require up to 48 hours notice to schedule a lcate.
A onstruction traffic ontrofstaging plan must be prepared on a separate sheet of paper. An approved siE plan
may also be used. This plan will shorr locations of all traffic control deMces (signs, cones, etc.) and the work
zone, (area of onstnrction, staging, etc.). This flan will ogire on November ls and will need to be resubmitted
for onsideraUon for approval thro.rgh the winter. Be aware that your resubmission for winter may be denied
depending on the locaEon of onstuction.
Sketcfr of work being performed must be submised indicating dimensions (length, width and depth of work).
This may be drawn on the traffic control plan or a site plan for the job.
Submit completed application to the Rrblic Works offie fior rerdew. If required, locates will be sdteduled for the
Town of Vail electricians and inigation crew. The locates take plae in the moming, but may require up to ,18
hours to perfurm.
The Public Works Construdion Inspector will review the application and approve or deny the permit. You will be
contacted as to Ere status and any requirements that may be needed. Most permits are released,l8 hours of
being reeived, but plese allovv up to one (1) week to process.
As soon as the permit is approved, the Building Departnrent will be notified, allowing the "Building Permit" to be
released. Please do not onfuse the "Rrblic Way Permit" with the "Building Permif'.
NOTE: The above prcoess is for wod< in a public way ONLY. Public Way Permits arc valkl only unUl
Novernber 15th. A new Public way Pennit is rcquircd each year if work b not compkt€. Re-

Vail roads or streets and the installation of temporary or permanent culverts at arcs points from the road or
