Thc Adninistrator may rcvicw and approve Desigrr Rcview applications. approve rvith cenain modifications.
deny thc application. or may ret'er the application to thc Design Rcview Board for dccision. All staff
approvals are subject to final approval by the DRB. Thc following types of Dcsign Rcview applications may
be staff approvcd:

ADDITIONAI- REVIEW AND FEES
A. If this application requircs a separatc review by any local, statc or Federal agency other than thc
Towrr of Vail. thc application fce shall bc increased by $200.00. Examplcs of such rcvicrv. may
includc, but are not limitcd to: Colorado Dcpartrncnt of Highwav Access Pennits. Army Corps of
Enginccrs 404, etc.
Thc applicant shall be responsible for paying any publishing fecs rvhich are in excess of50% of the
application fee. If. at the applicant's request. any rnattcr is postponed for hcaring. causing the matter
to be re-published. thcn the cntirc fce for such re-publication shall bc paid by thc applicant,
Applications dcemcd by the Conrmrurity Devclopnrcnt Dcpartmcnt to have design. land usc or other
issucs which may have a significant impact on the commurity may requiie review by consultants in
addition to Torvn staff. Should a determination be made by the Torvn staff that an outside consultant
isneedcd. the Conrmunity Developmcnt Departmcnt may hire thc consultant. The Departmcnt shall
cstinrate the amount ofmoncy necessary to pay thc consultant and this amount shall be forwardeC to
thc Torvn by the applicant at the time of filing an application. Expenses incurred by the Town in
exccss of the anrount ibrw'arded by the application shall bc paid to thc Town by the applicant within
30 days of notification by thc Torvn. Any excess funds will bc renrmcd to the applicant upon review
cornnlction.
