I have reviewed the boiler venting system installed by Burnett Plumbing Heating and
Electrical. In my professional opinion the Fields power venters are compatible with the
Weil Mclain boilers. However the power vcnters discharge location is unacceptable.
Please see the attached sketch M- l dated I l-7-95 for new vent routing. In addition to an
acceptable discharge location safety controls are also required.
Upon a call fbr heat the power venter shall bc energizcd. Once the correct dralt has been
verified by a pressure switch, the burner shall be allowed to ignite. Additionally a
"spillage switch" shall be installed. lfhot flue gases are detected "spilling" frorn thc draft
hood the gas flow shall be shut otl The spillage switch is not required by code but is
recommended as an additional safety control.
