The documents submitted for this project have been reviewed for compliance with the 2003
International Building Code, 2003 International Residential Code, 2003 International Mechanical
Code, 2003 International Fuel Gas Code, 2003 International Plumbing Code, 2003 International
Energy Conseruation Code and 2005 National Electrical Code as modified and adopted by the Town of
Vail.
The following comments will need to be addressed prior to issuance of a building permit:
For processing:
o Please submit four complete sets of revised construction documents containing the requested
information with all plan revision items clouded or othenrrrise identified. Partial olan sets or
loose plan sheets are not accep.ted,
o Please respond in writing to each comment bv marking the attached list or creating a response
letter. Indicate which plan sheet. detail, specification, or calculation shows the requested
information. Please send revisions to the attention olLhe olans examiner with the building
permit application number noted.
o Please be sure to include on the resubmittal the engineer's or architect's "wet" stamp, signature,
registration number and date on the cover page of anv structural calculations, all structural
details and structural sheets of the plans. For commilcial or multi-family projects all sheets of
the plans must be stamped.
Arch itectu ra I Com ments:
1 A1.1, A2.1 - On the east side the new common wall adjacent to propefi line shall consist of (2) 1
hour wall assemblies per the IRC section R302, "Location on Lot" provisions. Provide a UL or gypsum
association listing for the t hour wall assemblies. Provide a section of the wall from foundation to
roofline. As drawn the wall is not on the propefi line.
2 A2.2 - The new flat roof structure on the west side of the building is built over the propeflry line. The
review team is requiring this new roof to be built to one hour construction. Please indicate this on the
drawings and provide a UL or gypsum association listing for the t hour roof/ceiling assembly. R302
Please refer to the cover sheet for information on resubmifting plans. In order to avoid delays in issuance of
a permit, please check g!! requested information is included with the resubmitted plans. Please submit
revised plans as a complete set. Partial plan resubmittals will not be reviewed.
