Once the area passed the final visual inspection, final air clearance samples were collected using aggressive sampling in accordance with 40 CFR Part763, Appendix A. Final clearance air samples were collected by individuals qualified as "Aii Monitoring Specialists" as defined by the Colorado Department of Health. The air samples were analyzed by utilizing Phase Contrast Microicopy (PCM), National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) Method 7400. Analysts are NIOSH 582 or 582E trained and are successful participants in the American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA) Proficiency Analytical Testing (PAT) program for phase contrast microscopy. An abatement action is considered complete when all concentrations ofthe PCM results are less than or equal to 0.01 f/cc.
