With the information given, it is hard to determine if a building permit is required.
I have verbally authorized this work to occur without a building permit. You are proceeding at your own risk
for:
Structural design. (80 or''|00# snowload is required depending of roof slope)
Materials being used. lf Glu-Lams are being used, they must be rated for weather exposure or some type
of banier is required so that this does not occur again
Staging issues to be resolved with Public Works
Planning issues. Must match existing construction and size

on another job: Lionshead bus stop across from Subway, the West and North beams that support the
glass roof structure
are very rotten, more so than what we had originally thought, I inspected them on Wed. mourning and
found them to be saturated
with water and could pull out chunks with my hand.
John does not think they can take another year of snow and I would have to agree
We are going to replace them with what is there now and try and fix the water/rot issue
We can do the work with out blocking Fire/ADlr/Ped./or bus access (this was Leonard's concern)
The reason for this email is to ask your permission to proceed without the 4$ week permit process, I have
filled out a permit, made a sketch and have two pictur€s ( Joe said DRB staff would need these) my job
super, Mike Kuhn will be dropping this packet off this aftemoon.
I would like to have this job done ASAP, at least before 11/15
