Building 2, 1265 N. Frontage Road West, Vail, Colorado
Dear Mr. Padley:
Hepworth-Pawlak Geotechnical, Inc. provided construction observation and materials
testing services for foundation soil bearing conditions and structural backfill, reinforcing
steel and concrete during construction of Building 2 as part of our services far the overall
site redevelopment. Our field inspection and testing seivices for the project began on
September 3Q 2014 and are continuing on an as-requested basis. Our services for
Building 2 are essentially co�nplete at this tiine.
Our services were perfonned under the direction of the undersigned licensed Engineer
registered in the State of Colorado. Any nonconforming conditions, materials and/or
workmanship identified during construction were immediately brought to the attention of
the contractor far correction. Our testing and observation reports have been distributed
under separate cover.
Based on inferences drawn froin our observations during construction and the results of
our testing as documented by the referenced field and laboratory reports, it is our
professional opinion that the referenced foundation soil bearing conditions, reinfarcing
steel, concrete, and structural backfill far the project have achieved the specified
conditions, and/or currently accepted industry practices as applicable. Please recognize
that construction observation and testing are sampling functions that involve direct
