Ridge Apartment Homes Bui]ding 4, ]265 N. Frontage Road West, Vail,
Colorado
Dear Mr. Padley:
Hepworth-Pawlak Geotechnical, Inc. is providing construction observation and materials
testing services for foundation soil bearing conditions and structural backfill, reinforcing
steel and concrete during construction of Building 4 as part of our services for the overal]
site redevelopment. Our field inspection and testing services far the project began on
September 30, 2014 and are continuing on an as-requested basis. Our services for the
construction of Building 4 began on March 24, 2015.
Our services are being performed under the direction of the undersigned licensed
Engineer registered in the State of Colorado. Any nonconforming conditions, materials
andlor workmanship identified during construction are immediately being brought to the
attention of the contractor for correction. Our testing and observation reports are being
distributed under separate cover.
Based on inferences drawn from our observations during construction and the results of
our testing as documented by the referenced field and laboratory reports, it is our
professional opinion that the referenced foundation soil bearing conditions, reinforcing
steel, concrete, and structural backfill for Building 4 through July 24, 2015 have achieved
the specified conditions, and/or currenUy accepted industry practices as applicable.
