All projects requiring de- sign review must receive approval prior to submitting a building permit application. An application for Design Review cannot be accepted until all required information is received by the Community Development Department, as outlined in the submittal requirements. The project may also need to be reviewed by the Town Council and/or the Planning and Environmental Commission. Design review approval expires one year from the date of approval, unless a building per- mit is issued and construction commences. Application form 2. Filing fee of$250 3. Site survey 4. Site/grading plan Project Overview The goal of this project is to align the two left turn lanes that serve the VVMC and the Town Hall. This is being done to facilitate a change in how parking is managed at VVMC. Major elements of the project include: • Minor expansions to South Frontage Road • Re-location of the driveway and lowering of driveway grade • Re-grading of portions of the parking lot • Re-graded sidewalk and new steps to the Comm Dev building (required by lowering of parking lot) • Re-location of existing street light and flag poles • Installation of a stem wall along east side of Comm Dev building (to protect foundation as required by lowering of sidewalk) Project Schedule It is our goal to have this application presented to the DRB at their August 19th meeting. Detailed construction plans will be submitted shortly thereafter with an anticipated construction immediately after the Labor Day weekend. Additional information on the construction schedule, construction sequencing and implications on Town Hall parking during construction will be presented to the Town Council on August 4th Efforts are underway to finalize the landscape plan and the stem wall at the Comm Dev building. Plans for both have been prepared but are going through final review by the Client prior to being submitted. We expect to have this material submitted by the end of the week.
