Description
Quiet Board Acoustic Panels were specifically designed to bean effective sound absorption panel for wet
environments. The Quiet Board Acoustic Panels are 100% waterproof and can be put in areas that are hosed
down or have high humidity. They are ridged panels comprised of Polypropylene Beads, offered in 1" and 2"
thicknesses, and a white or black color. Quiet Board panels also carry the Class A fire rating per the ASTM E
84 test. Please read instructions thoroughly before starting installation and if you have a question, please do
not hesitate to calt 1-866-949-9269.
General Installation Tips
The Quiet Board Acoustic Panels are ridged boards but can be broken. Moderate care should be taken when
handling the boards to not break the materiat.

utility knife or serrated edge knife, straight edge, tape measure, caulking gun, pencil or chalk line, table
saw (recommended) or circular saw
Cutting
1. Mark the Quiet Board to the appropriate size using the tape measure and chalk line or pencil.

2. The most effective cuttin� method is through the use of a table saw or circular saw. After the mate-
rial has been appropriately marked, cut the panel along the marked line with the table or circular
saw. With the 2" thick material it will most likely take two passes with a circular saw.
Instal(ation Methods
1. Lay out the Quiet Board for your specific application. Keep in mind that you want the material evenly
distributed throughout the room.
2. According to your layout, mark where the bottom and one side of the panel will be lightly with a
pencil.
3. Lay the panel on the floor and, maintaining a 1/8" bead, create an X pattern across the back of the
panet using PL Polyurethane Construction Adhesive. Keep the glue approximately 2.5" away from the

edge. Create a perimeter around the outside of the panel, staying 2.5" away from the edge.
4. Ptace the panel approximately 1.5" away from each of your marks positioning the panel so that you
can see both of your lines.

5. Apply pressure and slowly slide the panel to the proper position according to the marks. Press and
roll your hands across the surface of the material to ensure you have made proper contact with the
adhesive.
6. Repeat Steps 1-5 for all remaining panels, periodically checking to ensure none of the panels have
slide off of their mark.
