Exterior Alteration
General Information: This application is required for a11 proposals involving minor changes to buildings and site improve-
merts, such as roofing, painting, window additions, landscaping, fences, retaining v5ralls, etc. Applicable Vail Town
Code sections can be found at www.vailgov.com under Vail Information–Town Gode Oniine. All projects requiring de-
sign review must receive approval prior to submitking a building permit application. An application far Design Review
cannot be accepted until all required information is received by the Community Deuelopment DepaRment, as outlined in
the submittal requirements. The project may also need to be reviewed by the Town Council andlor the Planning and
Environmentai Commission. Design review approval expires one year from the date of approval, unless a building per-
mit is issued and construction commences.

Description of Work:
We propose to furnish labor and material for plumbing—complete in accordance with the below
specifications as follows:
Provide and Install one (1)outside condenser Mitsubishi Model MXZ-5C42NA with two(2) indoor
Mitsubishi Model MSZ-GEI8NA-9_For_MXZ_MULTI-ZONE_SYSTEMS in sales area and one(1) Mitsubishi
Model SLZ-KA09NA_For MXZ_MULTI-ZONE_SYSTEMS in Store Room/Office.These units are to be
complete with remote controls mounted on wall areas.
Outdoor Condenser unit to be installed on rack mounted to wall outside of electrical supply in storage
room.Wires and piping to be routed inside building within 4 feet of condensing unit,with the exception
of the electrical and refrigerant piping to front of store.This piping and electrical is to be routed high on
exterior wall and penetrate thru wall at or near stone veneer.This routing should eliminate any possible

Most Interior work shall be performed overnight to prevent interFerence with store operation.
This Proposal i��cludes all taxes permit fees and electrical work.
General Material Specifications: Interior Work:All drain waste and vent lines to be Schedule 40 PVC
pipe. All water lines to be Type M copper. Gas pipe to be Schedule 40 black steel and corrugated
stainless steel (CSS).
Excluded from this Proposal:
This Bid does not include any line voltage wiring, concrete cutting and removal, concrete replacement or
patching, all roof penetrations, all roof repairs,testing, abatement, or disposal of Icad paint, asbestos,
mold or other hazardous materials,site utilities, excavation, mounting under mount sink, and permit
fees to be billed on separate invoices. This Bid does not include carbon monoxide detectors,fixtures or
faucets. This bid does not include any tasks or materials not specified in the Description of Work as
stated above.

Price: The price for the above Description of Work is the sum of Thirty-Nine
Thousand Seventy($34,070).
Payment Terms: Payments will be made as follows:
Deposit of 50 percent(%)and Final Completion of 50 percent(%).
Unpaid balances after 15 days after each phase of completion wil!be charged an additional
administrative fee of 2 percent(%j per manth. Unpaid balances after 60 days of each phase of
campletion will be charged an additional interest fee�f 8 percent(%) per annum,compounded
annually. In the event of collection for non-payment with or without suit, P51 shall be entitled to recover
all collection costs and attorneys'fees,
Additional Terms and Cond9tions:
1. Plumbing Systems Inc. is not responsibleforthe discovery of improperorfauEty plumbing;rusted or
defective pipes;acids in drain systems;lines that are settled or broken;existing illegal conditions;
defective roofing;and/or defective electrical.
2. All material is guaranteed to be as specified, All work to be completed in a worlcman-like manner
according to standard practices,
3. �'he price is based on the scope of wark listed above, Any additional work will be priced as a Change
Order.
4. The price is based on work being completed during normal business hours and does not account for
overtime hours. Any request by Client/Owner to complete warl<during overtime hours will be
priced as a Change Order.
5. All changes,additions, extras and/or deductions will be based on a fixed price and agreed to in
writing as a Change�rder before being incorporated into the project for both parties' protection.
S. This proposal is good for thirty{30}days.
7. All agreements are contingent upon striEces,accidents,or delays beyond our contral.
8. Owner to carry fire,tornado,and other necessary insurance.
9. The coniractor will excavate aIl main line trenches for underground. If jackhammer and/or other
mechanical devices are required to break rock in arder to install underground plumbing,an
additional charge may be added to cover the cost of the additional labor and/or rental of said
equipment.
10. Please note that a!I mechanical parts can and will fa'rl. It is the responsibility of the homeowner or
building agent to protect his or herself from property damage by maintaining cofd air sensars and/or
a flood mitigation device or both.

Scope of Work:
Store currentiy does not have any HVAC to provide cool air. This scope is to install (2) multi-split cooling units in the store
assist with the high heat and circulation of air through-out. Outdoor condensing unit(Mitsubishi MXZ-4C36NA)will be wall
mounted on the North side on a welded steed bracket to the left of the windows (red box)of the photo below. Exact
location will be determined on install for the most effective way for refrigerant tubing to route to the indoor units
