Vail Local Housing Authority (VLHA)

Steve Lindstrom called the meeting to order at 3:10 PM.
Greg Perkins, attorney for the Timber Ridge developer’s, explained he was there representing the Timber Ridge development team and that for financial purposes they were applying for
a property tax exemption and the Vail Local Housing Authority participation was needed to secure the property tax exemption. The developers have spoken with Mark Chapin, Eagle County
Assessor, and he is comfortable with the concept. The property tax exemption will only apply to the improvements as the Town of Vail will retain ownership of the land.
Mary McDougall made a motion to approve an agreement regarding a redevelopment project for the Timber Ridge property as presented by Greg Perkins. John Rediker seconded the motion. There
was no further discussion and the motion passed unanimously.
Stan Zemler let the VLHA know the Land Lease, Deed Restriction, Term Sheet and Authorization for VLHA Ownership will be approved by the Vail Town Council at their February 4, 2014 meeting.
The project will have +/- 113 units and 70% of the units will be deed restricted to local employees.
Judy Camp, Kendra Carberry, Greg Perkins, George Ruther, Jen Wright and Stan Zemler left the meeting.
The VLHA returned to agenda to the first agenda item. Craig Cohn made a motion to approve the September 26, 2013 meeting minutes. Scott Ashburn seconded the motion. There was no further
discussion and the motion passed unanimously.
The VLHA set the next meeting for Tuesday, February 25th at 3:00 pm.
There being no further business the meeting adjourned at 4:10 PM.
