I'm 20 minutes away. Martin, this is a perfect example of why I asked you about the permitting of temp uses the other day. Although Charlie told Layton in was not required, perhaps we should revisit the issue. I would like to request a walk-through with Martin and perhaps John King to see first hand, the conditions as they exists now. The IFC requires temp standpipes, an operational plan, and an exiting plan. Normal workplace standards would require adequate lighting. and ventilation. The Fire Dept's biggest concern is we not have a clear and consistent means of access or egress. Layton continues to frame and pour faster than they can draft updated plans. We have no means to fight a fire in the lower levels, despite the presence of flexible natural gas lines strung across screw jacks with bailing wire, active temp electrical services, storage rooms and cages with a variety of materials, and the offices in the basement. Rescue of construction workers will be a challenge due to what seems to be an ever changing exit path, most of which are not marked. Stairs that were there last week are gone now. New stairs are there but not labeled. Escape routes were to be marked in red lines on the floor. What lines exists are often covered with materials, fade to nothing, stop mid way, or are not there at all. Layton has an excuse for each element. This weekends incident just tends to reinforce my observation that they will do whatever they think they can get away with. When they get caught, they apologize and repeat the same mistake. Makes me think their "mistakes" are not accidents. I am open today and Tues. i I will be out of the state for two weeks starting Thurs AM. I hope you are feeling OK. I need to touch base with you on the Four Seasons. RJA is asking for Class A SLC circuits. If you recall, we discussed the configuration of the system over the summer—letter attached for your reference. You had pre-approved our plan as described in the letter. We are planning to respond to RJA informing them of our letter and indicating we will not be doing Class A SLC circuits on the floors. Only the riser will be Class A. Please advise if you concur. I will give you a call this afternoon to discuss further. Thanks. Debbie Deborah L. Shaner-Lueck, P.E. They are requesting electronic copies of any items we have received since December 16, 2009. If you have any items in your possession, please let me know. Our turn around time for record requests is 3 days. If you are unable to meet this time frame, please let me know so I can inform the requestor in writing that we are unable to meet the 3 day turn around. Since this is the 2nd request in a very short period of time, I would like to suggest that everyone keeps track of any items received on this project, scan the items into the project folder (or get the items scanned into the project folder) and notify ComDev_Admin when items are added to Laserfiche. I wouldn't expect that these requests will stop until long after the project is complete. Please let me know if you have any questions or if I can assist you in any way.
