There is an existing old security system with some fire protection in the home. The
owners would like to upgrade and add fire protection and monitored CO detection
per code. The existing fire alarm panel will be replaced with a Honeywell Vista-
128BPT, and existing hardwired smoke detectors will be replaced with addressable
detectors. Since no other work is being done, the additions will be wireless.
Smoke detectors will be added to the bedrooms (4), and CO detectors will be
added outside of the bedrooms and in areas with gas appliances (6). Additionally,
audibility will be addressed by adding Honeywell 747PD Cat5 sounders (5).
All work will be done under NFPA 72 (2013) and Town of Vail guidelines, with
inspections and final approval of device locations by the Fire Marshall. All work will
be tested 100%.
