Sheet F2.P2A, elevator pit E-3 shows no heat or smoke detection devices along with no tamper and flow switches. Correction required. Response: A heat detector has been added in E-3 Pit and Tamper Switch with monitor module has been added. The current sprinkler drawings do not indicate a Flow Switch will be present. 2. Sheet F2.P1A is showing a manual pull station shown near stairwell Northeast EP111. There is a door nearby leading into a janitor room but not into the stairwell, if that is the case no pull station is needed at this location. Verify if background is accurate and correct accordingly. Response: The door in question is the entrance to North East Stairwell. I cleaned up the background to make this clearer to see. 3. Sheet F2.P1A, elevator E-3 has a misplaced heat detection device(see Sheet F2.P2A comment). Correction required. Response: The heat detector and monitor module have been removed. 4. Sheet F2.02A,trash room E218 requires smoke detection device. Correction required. Response: A smoke detector has been added to room E218. 5. Sheet F2.02A and Sheet F2.03A, rooms E201, E301 respectively, need combination smoke/CO detector to be moved closer to center of room to provide coverage near kitchen cooking appliances. Revise to meet device coverage requirements per specification sheet 16721-02,fire alarm device location and spacing per NFPA 72, including Town of Vail (TOV)amendments,standards, manufacturer's recommendations and Underwriters Laboratories Inc. (UL) listings. Response: The smoke/CO detector in E201 and E301 have been relocated to the center of the living room/kitchen space. 6. Sheet F2.03B(see image below), F2.04B, F2.05B, F2.06B,and F2.07B shows visible notification device in corridor W318,W418,W518,W618, and W718 respectively, falling short of the 15 feet end of corridor distance requirement per 2010 NFPA 72 Section 18.5.4.4.5. Correction required. Response: I don't agree with the measurement being made from the outside corner of the corridor junction. But I have relocated the notification devices as requested. 7. Sheet F2.06A,elevator E2 and El showing speakers and no heat detection. Correction required. Response: The speakers in elevator cabs have been removed. No heat detectors have been added,sprinkler drawings indicate the shaft are not sprinklered. 8. Sheet F2.06B, heat exchanger room W619 require a smoke detection device. Correction required. Sheet F2.07B,elevators W1 and W2 is showing speaker devices. Speakers not required in elevator. Correction required. Response:The speakers in elevator cabs have been removed. No heat detectors have been added,sprinkler drawings indicate the shaft are not sprinklered. 10. Sheet F2.07B,trash room W714 requires a smoke detection device. Correction required. Response:A smoke detector has been added to room W714. 11. Per the project specifications 16721-02 conduit fill calculations need to be conducted. A maximum of 40 percent fill is allowed. This information is only provided on Levels P3—P1 Conduit Drawing Sheets. Provide missing percent fill on remaining Conduit Drawing Sheets, Levels 1-7. Response: Conduit fill percentages have been added to all risers Levels 1—7. 12. In general,elevator lobbies are showing smoke detectors and visible notification devices overlapping on drawings. Advise moving one or both to improve legibility of device placement. Response: The overlap of device symbols occurs on Level P1—P3. The placement of these devices is based on direction from the Architect in previous drawing review. REVIEW COMMENTS ON THE DRAWINGS 13. Sheet F2.01A. Note indicates relocating the Front Desk Annunciator. Response: Relocated Annunciator to wall indicated. 14. Sheet F2.03A Conduit Drawing. Note Corridor E316—Avoid Horn Strobe adjacent to Unit entry. Response: Moved Speaker/Strobe 3B-01-04 and -Speaker/Strobe 3B-01-03 approx.4'South in Corridor E316, E416,and E516. 15. Sheet F2.03A Conduit Drawing. Note refers to relocating Speaker/Strobe locations within Unit E304 and E304 Lockoff bedrooms. The note states"General comments on location shall apply throughout". Response: Speaker/Strobes have not been moved in this revision. Relocation must be indicated per device,global changes will not be attempted. Any bedroom notification device relocated must meet the following criteria; a. Within 16 feet of the furthest pillow edge (line of sight) b. Must not be located below a soffit less than 8'-10" (106") Please note the Speaker/Strobes are only 5"wide 6.5"tall,the symbol used on the drawings is not to scale.
