Dear Mike:
Please accept this as a limited scope of work permit submittal to install a retrofit fire alarm system in
an existing single family residence located in Vail. A building permit currently exists on the
residence for a remodel, but no fire alarm permit was required on their building permit. As
bedrooms are being added to the basement where no bedrooms previously existed, we've made the
owners aware of the necessary fire alarm work needed to meet code. The residence is not
sprinklered. We propose to install a wireless, addressable, fire alarm system consisting of full
coverage monitored smoke detectors and carbon monoxide protection. Our installation will be
performed in accordance with applicable NFPA 72 2010 standards, 2012 International Building
Code, 2012 International Fire Code, 2011 National Electrical Code and Town of Vail amendments.
