Race St., Denver,CO 80209 Cell:303-722-9997 Email: F1Consulting©Comcast.net Letter of Understanding December 5, 2015 Town of Vail Building Department, Radio Enhancement Systems LLC intends to design and install a Public Safety Radio Amplification System for Vail Mountain School located at 3000 Booth Falls Road, Vail CO 81657. Mike Brownson of Hutton Communication created the design and link budget using iBwave radio propagation design software. The design was reviewed and stamped by a Colorado Professional Engineer, Charles D. Hooper#44318. We will install per design and applicable codes. The system was designed to amplify the Vail Fire 700/800MHz public safety frequencies. The design coverage is a minimum of-85dBm over 95% of the building area and 100% of critical areas. The system will take signal from a roof mounted Yagi antenna with lightning protection using 1/2" coaxial cable to a bidirectional amplifier (BDA). The amplified signal will be distributed throughout the building using 1/2" plenum coaxial cable, splitters, and signal dividers to feed omni-directional antennas in areas requiring increased signal levels. The systems will utilize a NEMA 4 encased CSI T51080, 1/2 Watt, 80dB gain, 700/800Mhz BDA that includes digital a filter that limits it to the public safety frequencies. The BDA also has the ability to sense and limit uncontrolled oscillation and will report power failure, uncontrolled oscillation, and transmitter failure. Any failures will cause the fire alarm system to send a supervisory trouble transmitted to the building's monitoring company. The system will be powered by a NEMA 4 encased CNC uninterrupted power supply (UPS) with batteries capable of providing 24 hours of run time. The battery calculation is included in the submission.
