Dear Mike:
Please accept this as a limited scope of work permit submittal to install a new retrofit fire alarm
system in an existing single family residence located in Vail. No outstanding building permit
exists on the premise and the fire alarm project is a stand-alone project. The residence does not
have a sprinkler system. We propose to install a wireless, all point addressable, fire alarm
system consisting of monitored smoke detectors and carbon monoxide protection for life safety.
Heat detectors will also be installed in the kitchen, laundry, mechanical rooms and garage.
In addition to TOV requirements for residential fire alarm systems, Chubb Insurance requires heat
detectors be placed in (kitchens, laundry rooms, mechanical rooms, garages and attics).
Our installation will be performed in accordance with applicable NFPA 72 standards, International
Buildin •e, International Fire Code, NFPA 70 and Town of Vail installation standards.
