Background
The project goal is to undergo testing at final construction to determine if the project meets code
requirements for air leakage.
The Town of Vail requires all new homes to meet the 2012 International Energy Conservation
Code (IECC), which limits air leakage to 3 ACH50.
Site Observations
A final Blower Door test was completed for the residence the located at 4288 Nugget Lane B,
Vail on Wednesday, December 2, 2015. Construction was complete.

The home was depressurized to the standard -50 Pa of pressure, and a leakage of 1,930
CFM@50 was projected.
The ACH50, the rating used by the Town of Vail building code and requirements, was calculated
to be 2.98.
