The release of glass fibers during normal handling can cause Irritation to the skin and eyes, a stuffy nose and scratchiness in the throat. ARSTAIO: Eye contact: Flush eyes with Rowing water to remove irritant. If symptoms persist, seek medical attention. Skin contact: Wash with mild soap and cool running water ta remove fibers. PRECAUTIONS: 5 OSHA requires respiratory protection (NIOSH certified dust respirator, N95 or greater) when the permissible exposure level (PEL) exceeds one fiber /cubic centimeter (cc) TWA (8 hour time weighted average). Fiber glass wool exposure during installation of this product in most residential and commercial buildings, and manufacturir.g facilities is generally found to be well below one fiber/cc. Be aware of exposure levels and take appropriate action, if needed. Dust levels below one fiber/cc may be irritating to some individuals. Dust respirators may be worn to reduce exposure. Recommended Clothing: *Loose fitting, \ong·sleeved and long·legged clothing; gloves; * Safety glasses with side shields, goggles or face shields; * Head covering when working with material overhead. *Wash work clothes separately and rinse washer thoroughly.
