Tim,
This letter is in regards to the remodel at the above address. The fireplace inserts and their
surrounding wood framed walls on the upper and lower floors are to be removed. There is a 6x16
wood beam spanning the center of both floors and supporting the floor joists. It is suspected that
there are wood posts in the framed wall around the inserts that support the 6x16 beams. The
surround walls can be removed but the posts supporting the 6x16 beams need to remain. If the
conditions are different then expressed above I will need to visit the site and make other
recommendations.

This letter is in regards to the remodel at the above address. The wall between the kitchen and the
utility room on the second floor unit does not appear to be bearing and can be removed without
any reinforcing or other structural support.
