On June 21, 2016 I visited the above-referenced site to observe the notch in the stud packs along the
north wall (where heating pipes will be removed).
; It appears that this stud pack is supporting the ridge beam above the third level floor. Based on the
I anticipated design load on this stud pack, it should be reinforced as follows.
Add two studs to each side of the existing stud pack (full height). Attach the new studs to the original
stud pack with (10) - 6" timber lock screws each side, evenly spaced from top to bottom of studs.
