Provide items listed in construction notes 7-11 for review. 7. AN EXISTING CHASE FOR LAUNDRY EXHAUST WILL BE RE-USED FOR THE NEW LAUNDRY LOCATION, BUT THE CHASE OPENING IN THE CEILING MUST BE FILLED AND SEALED WITH FIRE- RATED MINERAL WOOL, 5/8" TYPE "X" DRYWALL AND FIRE-TAPE. This note has been changed to read: AN EXISTING CHASE FOR LAUNDRY EXHAUST WILL BE RE-USED FOR THE NEW STACKABLE W/D IN APPROX. SAME LOCATION. THE PENETRATION MUST BE SEALED PER CODE. 8. AN EXISTING CHASE FOR THE MECHANICAL EXHAUST AND AIR-INTAKE WILL BE ABANDONED. THE CHASE OPENING IN THE CEILING MUST BE FILLED AND SEALED WITH FIRE-RATED MINERAL WOOL, 5/8" TYPE "X" DRYWALL AND FIRE-TAPE. This note has been changed to read: AN EXISTING CHASE FOR THE MECHANICAL EXHAUST AND AIR-INTAKE WILL BE ABANDONED. THE CHASE OPENING WILL BE COVERED AND MEET SAME FIRE RATING DETAIL AS THE SURROUNDING LID. 9. A HIGH-EFFICIENCY WALL-MOUNTED BOILER WILL BE SELECTED BY THE OWNER/CONTRACTOR. THE AIR INTAKE AND EXHAUST PVC PIPES WILL RUN THROUGH THE CEILING JOIST SPACE HORIZONTALLY TO THE REAR WALL AND EXHAUST AT A LOCATION APPROVABLE BY THE HOA AND THE BUILDING OFFICIAL. See Revision 1 cloud on floor plan. The note on the Electrical Notes has been updated to read 75% instead of 50%. AEC has provided stamped electrical engineering drawings.
