We are submitting a DRB application for Gorsuch LTD. As you are aware, Gorsuch will be
expanding its retail operations into the old Ore House space. There are no exterior
modiļ¬cations associated with this, except for the addition of an elevator overrun on the roof
of the building, which triggers the need for the DRB application. !
The elevator overrun will match all existing materials and colors. It does not interfere with
any adopted view corridors, as indicated on the plans provided with the submittal. The
height of the elevator overrun (at its highest point) is just under 30 ft., well under the 60% at
33 ft. and 40% at 43 ft. requirement of the Vail Village Urban Design Guide Plan. !
We are hoping that this application can be staff approved, based on the limited visibility of
the elevator overrun. The overrun is necessitated due to compliance with Building Code
requirements. !
