1. Reuse existing outlets, switches, fixture junction boxes
and circuit wiring where allowable by code and as
approved by architect. All wiring must be MC type.
2. Spacing of outlets required by the adopted IBC/IEC may
require additional outlets. Contractor to verify spacing with
electical code. All new wall outlets shall match height of
existing outlets (18" above floor +/-) unless otherwise
noted.
3. Fixtures, switches and outlets shown are called out by
general type unless a schedule is attached. Architect to
provide specifications at future submittal to contractor.
4. Anaylisis of the capacity of the existing panels and service
to accomodate lighting layout changes shall be the
responsibility of the contractor's electrical engineer.
5. Actual soffit heights may vary according to venting and
electrical requirements as well as actual height of existing
soffits that are to be extended. Verify contractor proposed
final ceiling heights with Architect if different from those
noted prior to construction.
6. Light fixtures shall be located where dimensioned or
centered in soffited ceiling areas and between tees. New
soffiting/ceiling framing shall take into account desired
fixture location. Where conflicts with framing occur, notify
Architect
7. All bathroom fans and can lights in all soffits and ceilings
are required to have accessories, that when installed with
the fan or light make up a UL approved 1-hr assembly.
Other ceiling elements shall utilize standard j-boxes that
meet 1-hr requirements.
8. 75% of new fixtures shall be high efficacy to meet Town of
Vail's adherence with IECC requirements.
