The project being proposed at 2943 Bellflower Dr in Vail, Co will be a continuation of the
project undertaken the past summer. The past project was a renovation of the driveway
and most of the deck area around the house. The area was removed, replaced with
pavers and heated. The proposed project will be to replace the last section of old deck
with a heated paver patio area that will be raised to a height level with the garage door
and add a walkway from the driveway to the deck.
The project will be started by demolishing the existing elevated deck. The foundation for
the new patio area will be set. Then construct the platform for the new deck. The section
underneath the patio will be enclosed for storage, and sided to match the current siding
on the house, a wood lap siding stained brown. The floor will be the Belgard Urbana
stones in the victorian blend. A standard entry door will be installed at the bottom of the
staircase to enter this area. A walkway will be laid out from the driveway along side of
the garage. The heating tubes will be installed and pavers laid over the tubing. The
Belgard Mega Arbel Paver will be used. Then the cable railing will be installed around
the perimeter of the patio area, down both sets of stairs and around the second floor
balcony (for consistency of aesthetics). This railing will then have a wooden top rail
installed.
the last part of the project is to replace the existing 3’ high timber retaining wall that is
below the patio with a stone one to match the patio retaining wall. Then we will clean up
the landscaping and replant natural grasses
