Submittal of an application results in the applicant agreeing to this statement. t(c.-c„ 41- August 14, 2014 Signature Date Kathi Renman Print Name BLACK ROOFING INC 2585 Bald Mountain Drive Vail, Colorado 81657 Units A and B Roof Repair Scope of Work • Remove the metal roof, the siding above the skylights, the upper layer of plywood decking, the sleepers, the skylights, and the lower layer of plywood. • Remove and partially replace the R-38 batt insulation to achieve an R-19 below the deck. • Install new plywood and one (1) layer of Grace Ice and Water Shield (for vapor barrier). • Install 4.25 inches of polyisocyanurate insulation and new 5/8-inch OSB for a combined R-value of 25. • Install one (1) layer of GAF Deck Armor. • Raise the skylight curbs 5.5 inches and install two (2) single-sloped skylights, using the existing opening for the new skylight detail (see attached). • Extend the ice and water shield up and over the skylight curb. • Raise the center trough between the two skylights 2 to 3 inches above the plane of the roof. • Cut the existing Fibertite membrane back at the pitched-to-flat transition and tie the ice and water shield into the remaining membrane. • Insulate the cavity at the transition where the pitched roof meets the flat roof, as needed. • Install GAF Deck Armor underlayment and extend it 18 to 24 inches up behind the siding and re-install 180-degree, 2-inch tall, mechanically fastened panel system.
