detain and Þlter water before reaching Gore Creek through use of the vegetated swale. This vegetated swale will capture runoff from the site and adjacentareas. The outlets of the perimeter drain of the home will daylight to the swale in order to provide water quality beneÞt during times of high groundwater.
These practices will maintain the function of the impacted area in an adjacent location without posing a safety hazard to residents.Ó

Planting
Notes:
1. Proper installation of plant material shall be overseen by a
qualiÞed installation specialist and/or landscape architect. Width
of bioswale area varies to create a more natural appearance.
Final dimensions should be coordinated with contractor.
2. Bioswale treament surface area is based on available area per
owner/architect. Drainage area calculations not provided by
project engineer.
3. Plan indicates general planting areas and ratios of species and
materials; Þnal plant list, quantities and locations subject to
actual Þeld conditions and availability.
4. Temporary overhead irrigation may be required for one
growing season, as coordinated with landscape architect and
irrigation specialist.
5. Plants speciÞed tolerate ßuctuations in groundwater level,
including seasonal inundation and drought. Substitutions may be
made based on availability.
6. Creekside of bioswale is close to a buried sewer line; check
regulations of ERWSD and/or Town regarding minimum ground
cover and conÞrm location prior to layout and any earthwork.
