Application for Design Review
Changes to Approved Plans
General Information: This application is for all changes to approved plans prior to Certificate of Occupancy. An applica-
tion for Design Review cannot be accepted until all required information is received by the Community development De-
partment. Design Review approval expires one year from the date of approval, unless a building permit is issued and
construction commences.
Submittal Requirements:
The Town of Vail offers two (2) methods for submittal of materials for review of applications. Materials can be submitted
either digitally or on paper. Whichever method you select all materials shall be submitted in that format throughout the
Design Review process. The Town encourages you to consider using the submittal of digital documents and plans.
If submitting digitally all elements of the application shall be uploaded to the Town's share file site as a complete set of
materials. If submitting paper three (3) copies of the materials noted with an asterisk (*) and one (1) copy of all others
are required. The materials necessary to have a complete application are as follows:
1. Copies of all pertinent approved plans with illustrated, labeled changes.
2. Joint Property Owner Written Approval Letter, if applicable..

Single Family Home, 756 Forest Road
Overview:
Construction of this project was nearing completion when the developers received a
purchase contract. The buyers would like numerous changes, before occupancy or closing,
most of which are interior and many only affect the finishes. Although the modifications
will be performed under the existing building permit, the building department has
requested that we apply to the DRB for Changes to Approved Plans before proceeding.
One modification impacts the GRFA and another adds a new window to the front
elevation, both are described below. The drawings provided with this submittal include all
buyer changes including the two for DRB review.
Proposed Exterior Window for New Bedroom 7:
The existing Lower Level Entry, Ski Room, and Snack Kitchen have been replaced by new
Bedroom 7 and Bath 7. The Lower Level Entry door has been replaced by(3) 2'-6"x 5'-
0" casement windows. See modifications on sheets A2.1 and A3.1.
Modification to GRFA for Relocated Ski Room:
The existing Ski Room has been relocated, to accommodate new Bedroom and Bath 7, and
is now located in the south east corner of the garage. The ski lockers have been relocated
to the south west garage bay, on either side of the parking area. The Ski Room is an
addition to GRFA, the smaller garage reduces the GRFA allowance,but the project was
already below the maximum GRFA. See sheet A0.1 for revised GRFA numbers which are
still within compliance. See sheet A2.1 for floor plan changes.
