We are not doing any work on that side of the house or portion of the roof that encroaches, so I would envision that to be an existing non-conforming encroachment. There is not much we can do to modify that roofline within the proposed scope of the project. In the future, if there is ever some remodel work proposed to that upper roof, I would think the encroachment issue could be revisited at that point to see if a reasonable solution presents itself.Thanks. We're pretty neighborly, so as long as there is no issue it is fine with us.
I'll get some input from Mike Suman. On page A0.1 and A0.2 of your site plan,
isn't residence crossing over the property line? We were hoping any remodel
would cure this issue.

Hi Michael,
I have been moving forward on the remodel submittal for the Meuer’s house next
door to your property in East Vail. After the dialog this summer with the town
regarding the characterization of the two properties as Single Family or Duplex, they
agreed to allow us to proceed as a Single Family and not a duplex, so each
property will have its own percentage of GRFA based on its specific acreage. We
are at the final stages of the submittal process and we wanted to reach out to you as
a courtesy to make sure you did not have any issue with the proposed remodel.
With each house being reviewed as a single family, this is not a requirement, but
given the zoning history associated with these two properties and the duplex
discussion that ensued, I wanted to be forthcoming about everything to make sure
there would not be any issues moving forward. I have attached a copy of the
submittal plans for the proposed remodel to this email. If you have any questions,
please let me know. If you do not have any concerns, can you please complete the
also attached Joint Property Owner Written Approval Letter and scan and email
back to me?
