Subj: Planning Comments - Response
This reponse is in regards to comments from Chris Neubecker as follows. Please see responses in RED.
Some of these observations were taken care of in a Revision 1 package and a Change to Approved Plans
submittal and approval back in mid-September 2016. Please see updated Revision 2 clouds in the latest
uploaded drawing set with the latest Change to Approved Plans submittal 3-23-17.
Email from Chris to Pete Cope builder:
I just completed the inspection at 2528 Arosa Drive. I failed the final Planning inspection, since there were
several changes in the field that were not on the approved plans. These include:
1. Metal roof on east side of home was not installed per plan.
This was noted in Revision 1 set dated 8-24-16 and approved as Change to Approved Plans.
2. New wood siding was installed vertically, not horizontal per plan.
This was noted in Revision 1 set dated 8-24-16 and approved as Change to Approved Plans.
3. New decorative kicker near front door was not installed.
This was a construction decision. See revisions cloud 2 and Change to Approved Plans submittal 3-23-17.
4. 2x6 corner trim not installed.
This was a construction decision. See revisions cloud 2 and Change to Approved Plans submittal 3-23-17.
5. New siding was installed on rear of home, but was not on approved plans.
This was a construction decision. See revisions cloud 2 and Change to Approved Plans submittal 3-23-17.
6. Please submit DRB application for "Changes to Approved Plans"
See revisions cloud 2 and Change to Approved Plans submittal 3-23-17.
Each of these changes look like they could be approved, but we need a Change to Approved Plans application,
and a revised building permit set. I also wanted to let you know that the new outdoor light fixtures, with the bulb
as currently installed, appears to meet the Town’s Outdoor Lighting regulations. However, another bulb that
does not shine directly downward would likely not meet the town’s lighting regulations, since the bulb would
likely protrude lower hat the solid lamp fixture.
Duly Noted.
