Hi Dan
thank you for following up on my request here are the answers to your questions
1. I would propose a window 30" high x 48" wide
2. the exterior color of the window will match the other windows3. the location will be in the back of the side of the unit in the mud room (partially under the side deck)
4. the lower sill will be approximately 20" off the ground on the outside of the unit.
I will not be in town for the HOA meeting but can certainly be available by phone during the meeting if that is helpful. Please let me know if you have any additional questions.
thank you
Linda

Hi Linda,
I have a few questions about the window.
1. What size window do you want to install?
2. Will you be able to match it up to be green, or whatever, to match the color of the other windows on your unit?
3. Do you want it to be in the front of the side of your building(foyer), or on the side towards the back in the mud room?
4. How high off the ground will it be?
We had to push our HOA meeting back to July 13th(notices should be going in the mail today or tomorrow to all owners). I am just trying to gather information about your request to see if I
can get approval before the meeting, in case you do not want to attend. If anyone thinks we need a discussion on this, I will let you know ahead of time and it will be brought up in the meeting.
Thanks,
Dan

Subject: New Window Request ‐ Unit #19
Hi Dan
I would also like to request permission to install a new window in the mud room on ground floor of my unit so that i can use it as an office. I have noted that one of the other units has installed
a window on the ground level (picture attached) and subject to HOA and town approval, I would like to install a similar window. The location would be on the side of the unit, mostly (or
completely, if necessary) under my back deck as shown in the second attached picture.
Could you please tell me what the process is to submit such a request?
Many thanks,
Linda

Hey Linda,
I emailed the board and told them that I see no issue with this, and that this basically is not visible from anywhere. I think it is very similar to windows people have added to the back of units, and
I know at least 1 other director that did that on their unit as well. The call might be very detailed about some other issues with building#1, but this will be brought up and I really think this should
pass. Unfortunately, I have to address old business first so if you do call in it might be a little while waiting. If you would like, I am willing to call you and get you on speakerphone if it even
starts to look like it will not pass during discussion. Not sure if that will make a difference, but you could at least hear the conversation. My guess is that this will be a nonissue, but you never
know with these things. You will get my vote.
Dan

Hi Linda,
Your window install was approved by the board, based on the provisions you provided plus an agreement that you would not damage the structure of your and load bearing walls of
your building, you will get town of vail approval as you mentioned earlier, and repair any landscaping damage that gets done by the people that install your window. If you have any questions,
let me know. I am in the building down below yours, you might have seen my hot tub on the back deck, and if you have any questions let me know.

Hi danThank you so much for getting this addressed at the meeting.
If it's possible to get names of contractors who did some of the other ground level windows , that would be wonderful. I could reach out to the unit owners directly if you feel comfortable giving me names/contact info. I don't want to
burden you.
If not, no worries.
Thanks again for addressing this in such a timely manner.
Linda
