a. Eagle County lies in climate zone 6B.
b. This is a prescriptive maximum u-factor for all windows and
doors.
c. This allows choices of an R-20 cavity insulation if an R-5
continuous exterior insulation is provided or R13+10.
d. "10/13" means R-10 continuous insulation on the interior or
exterior of the basement wall -or- R-13 cavity insulation at the
interior of the basement wall (a combination cavity and
continuous must equal R-13 as well).
e. R-5 shall be added for heated slabs. The R-values and depth
dimension can be spread between perimeter and under-slab
locations.

BUILDING, THE TYPES OF STRUCTURAL SYSTEMS AND AN OUTLINE OF THE
ARCHITECTURAL AND STRUCTURAL ENGINEERING ELEMENTS OF
CONSTRUCTION.
THESE CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS PROVIDE THE SCOPE OF SERVICES AS
OUTLINED IN THE AGREEMENT FOR ARCHITECTURAL SERVICES AND THEREFORE
DO NOT NECESSARILY INDICATE OR DESCRIBE ALL MATERIALS REQUIRED FOR
FULL PERFORMANCE AND COMPLETION OF THE WORK.
IT IS THE UNDERSTANDING OF THE ARCHITECT AND ENGINEER THAT THE
GENERAL CONTRACTOR SHALL FURNISH ALL WORK REQUIRED FOR PROPER
COMPLETION OF THE WORK AND THAT THE WORK SHALL BE OF SOUND AND
QUALITY CONSTRUCTION IN ACCORDANCE WITH INDUSTRY STANDARDS AND ALL
MANUFACTURERS SPECIFICATIONS, INSTRUCTIONS, AND WARRANTY
REQUIREMENTS.
THE CONTRACTOR, BASED ON THE FOREGOING, SHALL PREPARE FOR OWNER
REVIEW A REALISTIC BUDGET WITH A LATITUDE OF PRICES BASED ON
ASSUMPTIONS OF SCOPE OF WORK AND OWNER PRODUCT SELECTIONS.
CONTRACTOR'S RESPONSIBILITIES:
THE CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR FIELD VERIFYING ALL EXISTING
CONDITIONS, CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS, STRUCTURAL DOCUMENTS,
MUNICIPAL AND/OR COUNTY ZONING CODES, PERTINENT IRC 2006 CODE
REQUIREMENTS, AND GENERAL SPECIFICATIONS.
THE CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL MECHANICAL AND
ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING, DESIGN, SPECIFICATIONS AND DRAWINGS AS
REQUIRED FOR BUILDING PERMIT AND APPROVAL BY OWNER AND ARCHITECT.
COPYRIGHT RESERVATION:
THE DRAWINGS, SPECIFICATIONS AND OTHER DOCUMENTS PREPARED BY THE
ARCHITECT FOR THIS PROJECT ARE INSTRUMENTS OF THE ARCHITECT'S SERVICE
FOR USE SOLELY WITH RESPECT TO THIS PROJECT AND, UNLESS OTHERWISE

THE HEATING SYSTEM: IN-FLOOR RADIANT HEATING WITHIN A
1 1/2" LAYER OF LIGHTWEIGHT CONCRETE ON UPPER LEVELS
AND WITHIN THE 4" CONCRETE OF THE BASEMENT LEVEL.
THE BOILER WILL BE A HIGH-EFFICIENCY GAS FUELED BOILER.
