This is a request to change the approved roofing material at the entry stair of
Red Lion Unit 304 from ballast to Davinci synthetic tile. The current approved
roofing material is ballast roofing which is made up of small grey pebbles held in
Project Description: place with tar which was to match the roofing material on the main building. It
was determined by the roofing contractor that due to the slope of the new entry
stair roof this type of roofing will not work here and will not be warrantied. I would
like to change the roofing material at the entry stair to a Davinci single width
synthetic shake roof tile, color mountain variblend.

Conditions:
- Approval of this project shall lapse and become void one (1) year following the date of final approval, unless
a building permit is issued and construction is commenced and is diligently pursued toward completion.
- Design Review Board approval does not constitute a permit for building. Please consult with Town of Vail
building personnel prior to construction activities.
- Design Review Board approval shall not become valid for 20 days following the date of approval, pursuant
to the Vail Town Code, Chapter 12-3-3 Appeals.
- No changes to these plans maybe made without the written consent of Town of Vail staff and/or the
appropriate review committee(s).
- The applicant shall revise the plans to indicate a dark bronze or copper metal shingle roofing material at the
entry stair of Unit 304.
- The applicant shall revise the plans to indicate the use of ballast roofing material, to match the structure's
existing roofing, on the north elevation roof plane located above the proposed stair entry and below the
proposed Unit 3 bedroom addition.
