Relocation of Existing Trees
Dear Jonathan,
The Matterhorn Inn Condominiums Association would like to request to relocate the existing trees that were damaged in the fire and had to be removed to allow for the replacement of the
structure. The main reason for the relocation is to meet the Town of Vail, Eagle County and Fire Department Wildfire Homeowner program that requires a setback for all combustibles
for the building structure. The Home Owners Association has no problem planting the required number of trees. They would like to place the trees in different areas of the property
(See New Site Plan A001) to help with controlling erosion on the South hillside of the property and North-West corner of the property. This will them to meet the Wildfire setbacks
and to keep the minimal amount of parking space area that the property has to offer.
