Re: Chamonix-Vail DRB Approved Plan Revisions
The following is a list of the revisions to the Chamonix-Vail approved plans application number DRB16-0508 applied 11/02/2016.
Landscape Plans – Revised landscape plans L1.01, L1.02 and L2.00.
Eliminated 6 light bollards (see attached plan)
Added berm to the south of the low road and north of the gas station for additional screening (Verbally agreed to by owner. Easement with gas station owner being procured by TOV).
Changed trees at central park area to Lanceleaf Cottonwood to provide shade.
Enlarged community garden to accommodate 32 plots - one for each home. Added fence design for protection from wildlife.
Eliminated crusher fine path to the north of buildings 3 and 4 to provide larger yard and planted area. Pedestrian access provided in paved road.
Reconfigured mailbox to orient toward Low Road to create more planted area and soft-scape.
Added two varieties of native seed including low-maintenance, low-grow grass at the front of each building.
Eliminated shrubs on the side drip lines of each building and replace with cobble in these areas.
Removed trail between buildings 1 and 2 due to narrow building separation and utility meters/transformer.
Added fence design detail similar to gas meter screening at sheet A9.01 for owners that wish to add fencing to their private property after they take ownership of their unit. Owners
will need to get HOA approval before they can install these fences.
Civil/Site Plans – Revised gas meter locations.
Due to Xcel’s revised design requirements, all gas meters will need to either be mounted under a gabled end on the side of each building or at a yard meter set back 10’ from the building
to prevent ice falling on meters. The gas meters are placed at the gable ends of the buildings where applicable and at added yard meters in between the buildings where a gable end
is not available as shown on utility plan C200 and A0.03. Also reference exterior elevation sheets and detail sheet A9.01 for gas meter screening detail at the yard meter locations.
Elevations – Revised building elevation elements.
Gable end vents are added at roof locations that require additional air intake that cannot be achieved with soffit vents. Reference all 10 building elevations.
