RE: 5157 Gore Circle Residence - Electrical Permit Letter
Dear Mr. Halloran,
Please issue the following letter and attachments to the Town of Vail for the residence at 5157 Gore Circle:
Project Scope
• The project includes minor interior renovations of a 3,769 square foot residence.
• Renovations will be limited to interior wall removal and/or relocation. Square footage of residence
will not be effected by the renovations.
• Electrical equipment, mechanical equipment, cooking equipment, and appliances shall remain as
existing.
• Kitchen equipment shall be replaced as indicated on Panel 'A' schedule and NEC load calculation.
• Three (3) steam showers shall be added to the residence as indicated on Panel 'A' schedule and
NEC load calculation.
• Provisions for a hot tub in Panel 'A' shall be removed.
• All other electrical equipment, mechanical equipment, and appliances shall remain as existing.
Load Justification
• Please see attached one-line diagram, NEC load calculation, and Panel 'A' schedule for the residence.
Service load is calculated using the standard method as outlined in NEC article 220, section III.
• The existing service consists of an existing transformer and meter located on an adjacent property
serving power to a new 120/240 volt, single phase, 200 300 ampere main breaker panelboard in the
basement utility room.
• All equipment used in the load calculation is based on existing equipment within the residence, as well
as new equipment as outlined above. A future hot tub is also assumed in the calculation.
• The load calculation for the residence comes to 183.3 241.9 amperes at 240 volt, single phase on the
2.00 300 ampere service.
