Box 1752 Gypsum, Colorado 81637 i effki ssane u:gmai l.com Job No. 116 175A Subject: Potential Geologic Hazards, Proposed Remodel of Crow Residence, Lot 4, Vail Village Seventh Filing, 1250 Ptarmigan Road, Vail, Colorado Dear Jeff: As requested, we have reviewed the impact that the proposed remodel to the existing single family residence located at the subject site could have on potential geologic hazards in the area. This Ietter summarizes our findings. The services were performed as part of our agreement for professional services to Kissane Construction, LLC dated May 16, 2016. We previously performed a site specific review of the geologic hazards at the site and submitted our findings in a report dated May 31, 2016 under the above job number. The subject Lot 4 and adjacent properties are exposed to potential rockfall, debris avalanche and snow avalanche influence zone hazards. We have been provided design drawings of the proposed construction for the remodel of the residence by Berglund Architects dated June 13, 2016. The remodel includes exterior building improvements but essentially no change in the exterior grades. It is our understanding that the Crows have owned the property for about 50 years and do not plan to mitigate the potential geologic hazards but will accept the risk they may pose on the residence. The proposed minor exterior grading construction and associated site grading shown on the June 13, 20I6 Berglund Architects plans, in our opinion, will not increase the existing rockfall, debris avalanche, and snow avalanche influence hazards to adjacent properties including public streets, right-of-ways and easement.
