Hi Brian, after our discussion yesterday about screening the front of the Red Lion Restaurant grease
fan enclosure I came up with a solution that I feel will achieve our goal. Please see the attached
PDF’s, I am proposing that we hang a set of full height doors on the face of the enclosure to screen
the entire area. This way if in the future any grease does drip down the face of the wall it will not be
seen. The maintenance people will be able to open the doors exposing the wall beyond which can
then be cleaned. I looked at a screen wall as we discussed but found it had challenges with trapping
snow and ice as well as adding roof load to an existing roof. These new doors will keep the look of
the existing enclosure and will stay clean improving the neighbors view. Please take a look and let
me know what you think. We are hoping to submit our permit drawings on Tuesday next week so I
am hoping to resolve the conditions of approval as soon as possible. Please let me know if you
would like to discuss this in person or if you need any additional information from me. Thank you
Ben
