Mike,
This letter is to explain the scope of work on the above mentioned project.
The existing fire sprinkler system is to be modified to allow for remodel. Elevator; Re-locate Feed
Riser from lower level to main level on inside Stair wall to adjacent wall. Re-rout piping to heads
under lower stair. Kitchen; Re-locate Feed Riser closest to stairs to adjacent wall. This Riser feeds 4)
¾” Branch lines. Kitchen / Dining; Re-locate Feed Riser from existing wall into new column. This
Riser feeds 3) ¾” Branch lines. Living; Re-locate Feed Riser from existing wall into new column. This
Riser feeds 2) ¾” Branch lines.
All existing pipe is Copper. New pipe will be Copper to match. New pipe will be same size as
existing. Some ¾” lines may be upsized to 1” for simplification of material needed.
Changes will not impact the hydraulic demand of the system and will be made per NFPA 13D and
Vail Fire requirements.
Additional re-model work is going on, but no Sprinkler Head locations will need to be modified.
