GENERAL NOTES:
A. DO NOT SCALE DRAWINGS.
B. VERIFY ALL DIMENSIONS, CONDITIONS, AND UTILITY LOCATIONS
ON THE JOBSITE PRIOR TO BEGINNING ANY WORK OR ORDERING
ANY MATERIALS. NOTIFY ARCHITECT OF ANY CONFLICTS OR
DISCREPANCIES IN THE DOCUMENTS IMMEDIATELY.
C. AREAS OF CONFLICTS OR DISCREPANCIES MUST BE FULLY
RESOLVED WITH WRITTEN APPROVAL FROM THE ARCHITECT
BEFORE CONSTRUCTION CONTINUES IN THOSE AREAS.
D. PLAN DIMENSIONS ARE TO FACE OF STUD, CENTERLINE OF

E. PROVIDE ALL NECESSARY BLOCKING IN STUD WALLS AND

CABINETRY, COUNTERTOPS, SHELVES, CLOSET RODS, AND
DECORATIVE BEAMS.
F. FOR DOORS, REFER TO FLOOR PLANS FOR LOCATIONS AND
DOOR SCHEDULE FOR DOOR TYPES.
G. FOR WINDOWS REFER TO PLANS AND ELEVATIONS FOR
WINDOW LOCATIONS AND WINDOW SCHEDULE FOR WINDOW
TYPES.
H. COORDINATE ALL ELECTRICAL AND MECHANICAL FIXTURES TO
FIT WITHIN CEILING, FLOOR, AND WALL SPACES. VERIFY WITH
ARCHITECT WHEN DIVERTING FROM DRAWINGS.
I. IN THE EVENT THAT ADDITIONAL DETAILS OR GUIDANCE IS
NEEDED BY THE CONTRACTOR FOR CONSTRUCTION OF ANY
ASPECTS OF THIS PROJECT, HE SHALL IMMEDIATELY NOTIFY THE
ARCHITECT. FAILURE TO GIVE AMPLE NOTICE SHALL RELIEVE
ARCHITECT OF RESPONSIBILITY.
J. THE GENERAL CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR
PERMITS AND REQUIRED APPROVALS. THIS PROJECT IS
GOVERNED BY THE IBC 2009 BUILDING CODE. CODE COMPLIANCE
IS MANDATORY. THE CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS SHALL NOT
PERMIT WORK THAT DOES NOT CONFIORM TO ALL RELEVANT
CODES INCLUDING IRC AND ALL LOCAL AND REGIONAL CODES.
K. THE GENERAL CONTRACTOR AND SUBCONTRACTORS SHALL
FIELD COORDINATE AND OBTAIN APPROVAL FROM THE
ARCHITECT / ENGINEER BEFORE ANY CUTTING, NOTCHING, OR
DRILLING OF ANY CAST-IN-PLACE CONCRETE, FRAMING, OR ANY
OTHER STRUCTURAL ELEMENTS WHICH MAY AFFECT THE
STRUCTURAL INTEGRITY OF THE BUILDING.
L. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL VERIFY ALL EXISTING GRADES AND
STAKE OUT THE BUILDING FOOTPRINT FOR OWNER AND
ARCHITECT APPROVAL PRIOR TO BEGINNNING ANY SITE WORK.
M. THE OWNER HAS BEEN ADVISED THAT DUE TO HARSH WINTER
CONDITIONS, ROOF AND DECK SURFACES MUST BE MAINTAINED
REASONABLY FREE OF ICE AND SNOW.
N. SUBSTITUTIONS OF EQUAL PRODUCTS WILL BE ACCEPATBLE
ONLY WITH ARCHITECT'S WRITTEN APPROVAL. UNIQUE SPECIFIED
ITEMS ARE INTENDED AS QUALITY SPECIFICATIONS ONLY.
O. IT IS THE INTENT AND MEANING OF THESE DOCUMENTS THAT
THE CONTRACTOR AND EACH SUBCONTRACTOR PROVIDE ALL
LABOR, MATERIALS, TRANSPORTATOIN, SUPPLIES, EQUIPMENT,
ETC., TO OBTAIN A COMPLETE JOB WITHIN THE RECOGNIZED
STANDARDS OF THE INDUSTRY.
P. ALL CONSTRUCTION IS TO FIT WITHIN THE BUILDING ENVELOPE
WITHOUT CROSSING EASEMENTS. NOTIFY ARCHITECT OF ANY
DISCREPANCIES.
