General Information:
All projects requiring design review must receive approval prior to submitting a building permit app�ication. Please
refer to the submittal requirements for the particular approval that is requested. An application for Design Review
cannot be accepted until all required information is received by the Community Development Department. The
project may also need to be reviewed by the Town Council and/or the Planning and Environmental Commission.
Design review approval lapses unless a building permit is issued and construction commences within
one year of the approval.

RE: Extension of DRB approval for Snowcat Access Road, located at Tract K, Glen Lyon
Subdivision
Dear Bill,
On January i6, zoo8, the Town of Vail DRB approved the minor alteration for the construction of the
snowcat access road, located on Tract K, Glen Lyon Subdivision (DRBo7-o711). The Town Code
requires that "construction is commenced and is diligently pursued toward completion" within one
year of approval or the approval of the project shall lapse. Vail Resorts is proposing to begin
construction on the snowcat access road in the Spring of zoog. As our DRB approval will expire prior
to the commencement of construction, we are requesting an extension of the approval to allow for
construction to occur in the spring. Section s2-11-12, Vail Town Code, allows for the Community
Development Staff to extend the period of approval. The variance and conditional use permit
approvals are valid for 2 years, and will expire in January of Zoso. Therefore, no extension of these
approvals is required at this time.
There are no changes to the design of the access road from the previous approval.
