Tannenbaum Mugo Pine is a dense multi-stemmed evergreen shrub witha distinctive and refined pyramidal form. Its relatively fine texture sets itapart from other landscape plants with less refined foliage.
This is a high maintenance shrub that will require regular care andupkeep. When pruning is necessary, it is recommended to only trim backthe new growth of the current season, other than to remove any dieback.It has no significant negative characteristics.

Planting & Growing
Tannenbaum Mugo Pine will grow to be about 10 feet tall at maturity, with a spread of 6 feet. It tends to fillout right to the ground and therefore doesn't necessarily require facer plants in front, and is suitable forplanting under power lines. It grows at a slow rate, and under ideal conditions can be expected to live for40 years or more.
This shrub should only be grown in full sunlight. It prefers dry to average moisture levels with verywell-drained soil, and will often die in standing water. It is not particular as to soil type or pH, and is ableto handle environmental salt. It is highly tolerant of urban pollution and will even thrive in inner cityenvironments. This is a selected variety of a species not originally from North America.
