Dear Travis,
I have reviewed the existing boiler heating system at the Kapito Residence which consists of four
gas fired boiler and 2 indirect water heaters. The boilers have a combined input of 656,000
Btu/hr and they currently serve the space heating, domestic water heating and snowmelting
requirements.
I have also performed load calculations for the addition and the existing home and the existing
boiler heating system has adequate capacity to heat the additional square footages proposed. We
will not be adding any additional boilers for this home. We will be showing modifications to the
existing boiler system which will include additional heating zones, addition of a kitchen make up
air system, modifications to the snowmelt system and an additional indirect domestic water
heater.
