Mortar shali conform to ASTM C270 ond shall be type S with minimum cube strength of 1800 psi. Do not use mosonry cement or odmixtures unless opproved by the engineer. c. Grout sholl be coorse grout os defined in 2003 IBC Toble 2103.10 with minimum cube strength of 2000 psi. Admixtures shall not be added unless approved by the engineer. d. Minimum prism strength of mosonry woll assemblies shall be f'm = 1500 psi. e. Conform to size ond height limitations set forth in Table 1.15.1 of ACI 530. Grout shall be ploced in a continuous pour in lifts not exceeding 6 feet. f. Bond beam units shall be produced from stondord verticolly voided units with pre-cut knock- out cross walls. g. All mosonry sholi be loid up running bond with exposed joints tooled. h. Use continuous horizontal joint reinforcing in all mosonry wolls, consisting of 9 goge side wire welded to 9 gage trussed cross wires. Notify structurol engineer of omissions or conflicts between the working drowings ond existing conditions. Coordinote requirements for mechonical/electricol/plumbing penetrotions through structural elements with structurol engineer. Jobsite sofety is the sole responsibility of the controctor. All methods used for construction shall be in accordance with the latest editions of the IBC/IRC. Detoils not specifically shown on the drowings sholl be constructed in o manner similar to the details that ore shown for like conditions. These items sholl be brought to the attention of the structurol engineer os soon as possible for opproval. Approvol sholl be obtoined prior to instollation.
