Active Energies conducted a blower door test and thermal infrared imaging on Tuesday, October
06 from 8:30 am to 9:00 am.
The Town of Vail requires that all new homes must meet or exceed the requirements of the 2012
International Energy Conservation Code (IECC), which requires that air leakage within the home
does not exceed 3 ACH50.
Air leakage
The home was depressurized to the standard -50 Pa of pressure, and a leakage of 1,420
CFM@50 was projected.
The ACH50, the rating used by the Town of Vail building code and requirements, was calculated
to be 2.29.
