HomeMy WebLinkAboutBighorn Subdivision 5th Addition Block 5 Lot 16 Letter from Tony Ryerson 4895 Meadow Drive 0526175/26/17
Dear J.R.,
My wife and I are trying to clear up some confusion regarding our residence at 4859
Meadow drive, Lot 16, Blk 5. Bighorn subdivision, where we have lived since purchasing
from the Malloy's in 1991. The residence was zoned Primary/Secondary, and in 1993 we
exercised our option to purchase the secondary side allowing us to own the whole
property. In 2002/2003 we did a remodel addition there, and upon completion the town
no longer recognized it as P/S but rather single family. It is my recollection that it was an
eave overhanging the unit's party wall that changed the designation. I don't know why
we didn't oppose the reclassification at that time- (exhaustion or stupidity or some
combination thereof) but anyway it happened and we would like to find out, with your
help how to bring it back to P/S.
Our hope is to have more options for our family as my wife and I get older. Maybe our
kids take over the "big side" and us oldsters keep the small side that has a downstairs
bedroom. Or have the ability to sell the "big side" and keep the small side for our whole
family to keep a place in Vail, where we've spent most of our lives. We realize once we
sell the whole thing there is no returning, unless we win at Powerball!
We know you are incredibly busy, but if you could find the time to review the zip drive
with the downloaded plans from T.O.V., we would so appreciate it.
I think what you would be looking for is on the zip-"Lotl 6 Blk5 Bighorn pdf' pages 10
and 11 showing the south and west elevations on the Beth Levine plans.
I was hoping to do a roof repair/replacement this summer, and if I needed to remedy the
situation via construction that might be a good time. Or, is there a way to be granted a
variance? I am available almost any time that works for you to meet either at your office
or at our residence.
Many thanks for your attention,
Tony and Cindy Ryerson
