The construction/permit documents are hereby revised to include this information: 1.The control drawings and this paragraph INCLUDE LOGIC TO ABANDON HEATING WATER RESET SCHEDULE AND INCREMENTALLY INCREASE SUPPLY SETPOINT (5°F EVERY 5 MINUTES) IN THE EVENT THAT ANY INDOOR SPACE TEMPERATURE FALLS MORE THAN 5°F BELOW SETBACK TEMPERATURE SETPOINT. RETURN TO RESET SCHEDULE WHEN ALL SPACES ARE WITHIN 2 °F OF SETPOINT. The existing BAS does not have this capability and we do not have upgrading the BAS in our price. Could we get this deleted from the drawings? BGCE Response: No exception taken to removing this portion of the sequence. Modify heating water reset schedule to read 130°F HWS @ 60°F OSA. 2. The boiler relief valve in your drawing is a 60#, our boiler will have a 30# the system rise is approximately 6’ so we only run 15 to 20 PSI system pressure. Also this will negate a ASME bladder expansion tank. BGCE Response: No exception taken to providing 30# boiler relief. Confirm with owners insurance that non ASME rated tanks can be provided in this facility. 3. Air separator, we have an air scoop priced in the job not a Spirovent, considerably more cost. Will that be acceptable? BGCE Response: No exception taken to contractors proposed solution. 4. The 1 gallon mineral oil trap, talking with the Raypak rep all they require is a simple P trap filled. Will this be acceptable? BGCE Response: No exception taken to contractors proposed solution provided manufacture provides confirmation that integral trap to boiler will not dry out during extended periods of non-condensing boiler operation. 5. Field investigation has determined the existing boiler pumps are served via two (2) 20 A breaker and circuits rather than the originally anticipated one (1) 20 A breaker and circuit. Per your electrical specs note s 1-3, we were to provide a new 20A breaker and circuit. Will using the existing 20A circuit be acceptable? BGCE Response: No exception taken to contractors proposed solution. Sincerely, Dan Koelliker, PE Principal
