Contractor's Construction Activities: Water line trench excavation and backfill was planned but not
in progress at the time of our site visit.
Equipment in Use: ground thaw machine, frost blankets
HP Geotech's Site Activities: As requested by Dennis Ward with RA Nelson we visited the
site and observed on site excavated soils proposed to be used
for waterline backfill, some of which will be under building
footings. Based on our observation the material was judged to
be granular silty sand and gravel and therefore suitable for use
as backfill.
Verbal Communication: Dennis Ward with RA Nelson and Jose with Diamond A were
informed of our observation.
