CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITY REPORT
Client: R.A. Nelson & Associates Job No.: 114 270B Day: Friday
Attn.: Mike Cuthbertson Date: 1/9/14
P.O. Drawer 5400 Report No.: 14 Page: 1 of 1
Avon, Colorado 81620
Project: Betty Ford Alpine Garden Learning Center, West Betty Ford Way, Vail, Colorado
Weather: Clear, calm, dry Temperature: 38°F at 12:40 pm
Contractor's Construction Activities: Footing excavation continued along the east side of the new
building.
Equipment in Use: Track hoe
HP Geotech's Site Activities: As requested we visited the site and observed the excavated
footing areas completed at the north, east and west sides of the
new building. The footing areas completed were cut in three
levels ranging from about 5 to 15 feet below the adjacent
grades. The soils exposed at footing grade were natural sand
with gravel to sandy gravel and compacted sandy gravel
structural fill. Soils were moist and not frozen and completed
areas had been compacted. We judged the completed footing
areas to be suitable for building support.
Verbal Communication: Dennis Ward with RA Nelson and Jose with Diamond A were
informed of our observation.
